A book with several nervous systems.
I write poems of the moment something appears unsaid, politely avoided, scientifically misunderstood, emotionally falsified or too funny not to put under pressure.
FEED moves between several recurring territories:
- Science, physics and empirical reality
- Life poems, often at their least polite
- Compressed aphoristic pieces
- Geopolitical snapshots
- Art, artists and the machinery around art
About the manuscript
FEED is a selected collection of approximately 70 poems drawn from a much larger body of work.
The register moves from brutal to tender, from empirical to obscene, from the one-line cut to the long-form argument. The point is the same consciousness looking at different kinds of reality without pretending they belong to different universes.
Some poems explain.
Some accuse.
Some remember.
Some laugh at precisely the wrong moment.
A few do all four.
